NEP RELEASES NEW M15 MOBILE UNIT

Pittsburgh, PA

May 16, 2019

NEP US, a division of NEP Group, has released M15, the latest in NEP’s lineup of next-generation regional sports mobile units, featuring a full IP infrastructure. This powerful, versatile single-truck-unit was designed to streamline regional sports workflows – but is flexible enough to scale up for mid-sized and large events as well.

NEPis also pleased to extend their relationship with ROOT SPORTS NW, as M15supports their coverage of all Seattle Mariners home games.  As part of its infrastructure for this regional coverage, M15 pairs seamlessly with NEP’s M5 mobile unit to easily offer visiting broadcasters the away-team side-by-side or dual-feed support they need.

“We are thrilled to be continuing our relationship with NEP. Their new M15 Mobile Unit is a perfect fit for our RegionalProductions. This truck enables us to continue elevating the production of our events, and we couldn’t be happier with the build process, layout, equipment and service,” said Liz Serrette, Director of Programming and Operations for ROOT SPORTS NW.

“ROOTSPORTS NW, and all of our regional sports clients, are critical to us. This regional Mobile Unit was designed for quick and efficient set up, it has a powerful, thoughtful design, and includes all of the bells and whistles,” said Glen Levine, President of NEP USMobile Units. “So, when we set out to build our next-generation regional sports truck, we wanted to pack it with the latest technology, including IP infrastructure, and build in all of the creature comforts we could. We also want to ensure that all of our next-gen trucks like M15 are capable of supporting a wide range of shows — from small to large — easily and seamlessly.”

Throughout its interior, M15 offers personalized work stations at all operating positions with USB ports, individualized climate control, and custom lighting. It usesNEP’s latest horizontal control room design, and the production room features an extremely flexible monitor wall fed by multiviewers with 32” monitors.

Likeall of NEP’s new mobile units in the United States, M15 comes equipped withNEP’s proprietary nSite technology. nSite proactively monitors the unit’s power and HVAC systems, as well as the interior and exterior environment, and alerts engineers of any potential problems before they become an issue. It has battery backup, is connected via cellular network, and data is accessible remotely via the cloud, so even if the truck loses power, it still sends alerts and gathers information.

M15’s equipment complement features a LAWO/Arista IP Router with Integrated Multiviewers; Grass Valley 86N cameras, including four high frame rate GrassValley LDX 86N Xtreme Speed cameras for 6x super slo-mo; a Kayenne X-Frame switcher; a Calrec Artemis Beam digital Audio console; and EVS XT3 servers.
